Clover Stornetta Farm’s fleet maintenance operations are now solar powered!
“With the completion of the Fleet Maintenance Facility Solar Project, Clover Stornetta Farms Inc. is very proud to take yet another step down the path toward sustainability. The solar energy from this project will support nearly 100% of the building’s needs, driving down our overall environmental impact. At Clover, we’re committed to sustainability and continue to look for ways to improve our business and the many environments we touch.”
– Mkulima Britt, Clover Vice President of Finance.
In addition to net metering from PG&E’s grid, the economics of our 32 kilowatt system are impressive. It produces enough electricity to power six U.S. households and prevents the emission of 61,392 pounds of carbon dioxide each year –that’s equivalent to the carbon captured annually by 8.4 acres of forest. Over the next thirty years, the emissions saved will be the equivalent of 1.8 million miles not driven!
